The Magazine Committee of the Department of Law, University of Calcutta is organizing the 1st National Creative Writing Competition named “INK IT” from August 15 to September 30.
About Magazine Committee
Established in the year 2019, the Magazine Committee aims to chronicle and showcase the diverse activities and achievements within the institution as well as the various competitions organized by the Committee.
The Committee publishes its bi-annual magazine ‘The Muses’, written and edited by the students of the Department of Law, University of Calcutta, which chronicles all activities under the aegis of the institution and paints a picture of the yearly endeavors of this institute and its students.
About the Competition
Inkit is the flagship creative writing competition organized by the Committee. Various themes are given based on which the authors need to send their submissions. The author is required to submit one submission only and based on one theme only.

- Nature’s Magic.
- Future India.
- Sex Education.
- Circle of Life.
- Redemption.
Submission Guidelines
- Format: Word/docs file.
- Word limit: 1000 words.
- Submissions that are accepted are:
- Prose
- Poetry
- Short story
- Essays
- Blogs
How to Submit?
- Send entries along with your name and year to: dolcu.themuses@gmail.com.
- The email subject should be: Submission for INKIT.
Awards
- An e-Certificate of merits would be issued for the winner and 2 runners-up for each of the themes.
- An e-Certificate of participation would be given to all the participants.
Important Dates
The duration of the competition is from August 15, 2023, to September 30, 2023.
